Moving grates

Grate movement helps transport the fuel bed and discharge combustion residue. Geometry, motion cycle and allowable load depend on the furnace configuration.

Automated ash removal

Screw mechanisms transport ash from designated collection zones. Jam protection and operating sequences are defined in the control system.

Exchanger cleaning

Removing furnace ash does not clean every surface in the flue gas path. Channel inspection and scheduled cleaning remain necessary.
